June 29, 2018 Update - Traffic Control Change
Work on Division St between 3rd and 4th Streets, and 3rd and 4th Streets at Division continues. As we head into the holiday, work will transition to help ease traffic flow following the 4th of July fireworks as follows.
On Tuesday, July 3rd, Division St between 3rd and 4th Streets, and 3rd and 4th Streets at the intersection of Division, will be fully re-opened. This temporary re-opening will be followed by new closures and traffic control on Thursday, July 5th. Most significantly, beginning Thursday, July 5th, northbound Division St between 3rd and 4th Streets will be closed. Southbound Division along this stretch will be open to one lane of traffic. Work will continue on 3rd and 4th Streets just west of the Division St intersection, reducing these intersections to one lane of travel.
Northbound Division will be detoured to 3rd St when work transitions on July 5th.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.
Pavement, sidewalk and stormwater improvements in the area are expected to be complete late July, pending weather and subsurface conditions.
June 15, 2018 Update - Traffic Control Change
Work on Division St between 3rd and 4th Streets, and 3rd St at Division continues. Beginning Monday, June 18th, changes will occur - most significantly 4th St will be down to one westbound lane at the intersection of Division in addition to current lane reductions on Division and 3rd St.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid traffic delays.
The contractor estimates southbound Division will re-open by June 30th. When this occurs, northbound Division will be detoured to 3rd St at 3rd St. Work will transition between lanes on 3rd and 4th St as work progresses on those streets.
Pavement, sidewalk and stormwater improvements in the area are expected to be complete late July, pending weather and subsurface conditions.
May 25, 2018 Update - Traffic Control Change
Work on Division St between 3rd and 4th Streets is set to begin Tuesday, May 29th. Initially the work will reduce 3rd St to one lane of travel near the intersection, reduce northbound Division to one lane of travel, and detour all southbound travel. The southbound Division St detour will be 4th St, to Howell, to 3rd St.
Traffic control will change over the duration of the project as work progresses and transitions between lanes.
The closure and lane reductions are necessary for pavement replacement, along with stormwater and sidewalk improvements. The project is estimated to be complete by the end of July pending weather and subsurface conditions.
Travel delays are likely during peak traffic hours.
May 18, 2018
Beginning Tuesday, May 29th, Division St will be down to one lane in each direction between 3rd and 4th Streets, and 3rd St will be reduced by one lane of travel, for pavement replacement, along with stormwater and sidewalk improvements. The project is estimated to be complete by the end of July.
Traffic control will change over the duration of the project as work transition between outside and inside lanes.
Travel delays are likely during peak traffic hours.
