CheckFree/FISERV Payment Centers

The Revenue Division offers convenient payment solutions to Davenport customers by partnering with FISERV/CheckFree and utilizing their payment centers, which includes five HyVee locations, two Walmart locations, Davenport Check Cashers in Davenport.  Other major utility providers such as MediaCom, CenturyLink, MidAmerican Energy, and Iowa American Water currently utilize the FISERV/CheckFree service.  By including City of Davenport payments, residents will be able to conveniently pay all of their City of Davenport bills during their normal shopping visit.  The potential impact can be large since FISERV/CheckFree reports that Hy-Vee locations alone accept approximately 1,200 Iowa American Water payments monthly. 

The advantages of using CheckFree payment centers are:

1. Allows customers to make payments in convenient locations throughout the City
2. Payment centers offer extended hours.
3. Secure transactions.
4. Reduce City staff time processing individual transactions.

By utilizing CheckFree/FISERV payment centers, the City will provide another convenient payment option for Davenport customers.  Customers currently can view their bill online, pay online by credit card (without fees), set up automatic withdraws from bank accounts through ACH, pay by mail, and visit City Hall or Public Works in person.
