Both temporary and permanently affixed signs and banners must meet established standards before being placed. In all cases, no sign shall be placed in the City right-of-way (ROW) or on utility poles. These areas are reserved for traffic control devices only. Signs found in the City right-of-way may be removed and discarded by City staff or others from the public.

Temporary signs, including garage sale signs, real estate signs, and construction site signs are limited in size and number and must be located on property where the activity is taking place. The same rules apply to temporary business (or commercial) signs and banners.
