DavenportU is the City of Davenport’s ten-session citizens academy covering all areas of City government. Each year, up to 15 Davenport residents are selected to participate. The Spring 2026 cohort begins on March 23, 2026.

Each session of DavenportU takes citizens behind the scenes of City government with interactive experiences, tours, and presentations. From community and economic development to public safety and parks, DavenportU participants move around the City to learn about the inner workings of each department. DavenportU concludes with a graduation ceremony at the City Council meeting on May 27, 2026.

The application period for the 2026 session of DavenportU opens on January 14, 2026. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via email following the application deadline.
