Point Repairs to W 53rd St between Northwest Blvd and Gaines St

W 53rd Street repairs are complete and the signal at 53rd and Northwest Blvd reactivated.

W 53rd St improvements are also nearly complete. Current traffic control will remain in place until the project extents are complete for safety.  Field discovery of additional patch areas and sidewalk improvements remain before the project is finished. Look for completion in one to two weeks.

Pavement improvements on W 53rd St between Gaines and Northwest Blvd are expected to wrap up by the end of August. There will be an active work zone near Harrison Elementary. Travel will remain reduced to one lane in each direction until work is complete later in the month.

Pavement improvements, sidewalk, and joint repairs are going smoothly on W 53rd.  Watch for changing traffic control the week of July 26, as repairs flip sides along with traffic control. Of note, several side streets will experience two-week closures at 53rd St during this next phase in the project. All side street intersections will not be closed simultaneously to aid travel in/out of neighborhoods: Marquette, Warren, Vine, and Brown. Intersection closures will begin at Marquette.

Modernization of Davenport’s roads continues with the addition of W 53rd St between Northwest Blvd and Gaines St. Beginning the week of June 7, the road will see point repairs of broken pavement panels, joint, and sidewalk repairs.

Work will begin at the intersection of Northwest Blvd and W 53rd St and move east as the project progresses.  Travel will be reduced to one lane in each direction where repairs occur. Access to W 53rd St from side streets may be limited at times.

Repairs are estimated to be complete by late August 2021.
