The Keokuk City Council has a public meeting scheduled Thursday to approve a plan for the former Rhythm City Casino barge, Davenport aldermen learned Tuesday.
Removal of the barge is still three or four weeks away based on information provided by Keokuk, Finance Director Brandon Wright told the City Council at its management update meeting. A more complete timeline should be available after Keokuk's Thursday meeting.
Demolition and removal of the porte cochere started this week and is expected to be completed in about a week's time.
