Fire Marshal Mike Hayman, who died unexpectedly last year, is remembered with a memorial stone in his honor at Central Station.
Davenport Fire Department dedicated the stone in a ceremony earlier this month. The memorial was moved into place at the flag pole outside the station shortly after the dedication.
At the ceremony, Hayman was remembered by Fire Chief Mike Carlsten, former fire chief Mark Frese, Bettendorf Fire Marshal Steve Knorrek, County Attorney Mike Walton and Trevin Hayman, Mike Hayman's son.
Several fire departments from the Quad-Cities were represented at the ceremony.
