Corridor Cleanup Site Coordination
Thank you for your interest in being a Site Coordinator for Davenport’s Corridor Cleanup.
Site coordination is pretty straightforward. As a site coordinator, you will need to:
Pickup supplies and receive brief instructions on March 18th or 19th before the cleanup.
- General direction for cleanup and map
- Volunteer safety instruction
- Water
- Snack
- Bags
- Gloves
- Tongs (limited qty)
- First Aid Kit
- T-Shirts
- Important Contact Information
Day of the Cleanup
- Signing volunteers in, providing supplies, t-shirt, and direction, and then sending off to clean
- Tracking the number of bags of litter and other interesting artifacts picked up
- Taking pictures and sending them to us so we can recognize and celebrate volunteer accomplishment
- Calling or texting volunteers in the event of cancellation if the weather turns on the day of the event
- Notifying emergency numbers in the event of an accident or hazardous material encounter
- Ensuring volunteers have needed supplies and working safely throughout the cleanup
After the Cleanup
- Sometime in the week following the cleanup, return unused supplies and litter tongs
