Division St has returned to one lane of travel in each direction between 4th and 9th Streets. A contractor will mobilize next week in the center lanes for sewer line work. Work should not affect travel lanes. All of the needed above ground and below ground infrastructure along this stretch should be complete by the end of October, early November. Watch for changing traffic control.

Expect two-way travel to return by the end of the day Monday, October 12. When re-opened, traffic will be routed in the outside lanes for on-going finish work and then sewer lining in the center lanes. All of the needed above ground and below ground infrastructure along this stretch should be complete by the end of October, early November.
Watch for changing traffic control.

Work on Division St has switched sides. Southbound Division is detoured to Marquette. One northbound lane of travel is open on Division.
09/08/20
The construction switch on Division St has been delayed due to weather. Look for changes later in the week after things dry out and asphalt can be applied.

Resurfacing work on Division St between 5th and 9th Streets is right on time. Starting Wednesday, September 9, work will transition to the southbound lanes. With the change, the northbound lane will re-open, and southbound traffic will be detoured to Marquette. For those who watched the open southbound lane rapidly deteriorate over the last few months, we can all agree this much-needed progress could not have come at a better time.

Traffic Alert! Division St will be COMPLETELY closed between 4th and 12th St on Wednesday, July 29th through Friday, July 31st, due to on-going construction and work on a water main in the southbound lanes. Find an alternate route or follow signed detours.

Watch for traffic re-routes on Division St beginning Monday, July 6, as we continue paving the way to an improved city experience for everyone. Re-routes and slowdowns will be significant. Remember to keep your eye on the prize - a smoother ride, and modernization of the city’s street and sewer network.
Division St will be reduced to one southbound lane as construction begins. View map at this link. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route to avoid travel delays and follow the signed detour when traveling north.
Changes in traffic control are expected as work progresses.
Street reconstruction and sewer improvements are estimated to be complete by Sunday, November 15, pending weather and subsurface conditions.
Stay tuned for updates on progress.

Highly needed improvements to Division St from approximately 5th to 9th Streets should begin mid-to-late July. Improvements will include removal and reconstruction, along with storm and sanitary sewer repairs.
Traffic re-routes could be significant because much of the infrastructure to be improved runs down the middle of the road. Adjacent property owners and those who regularly travel Division St are welcome to learn more about the project and traffic re-routing at an upcoming neighborhood meeting. You can join the meeting virtually or in-person as noted below.
