Credit Island Park and Natural Historic Preserve

CREDIT ISLAND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

The Credit Island pedestrian bridge to Concord Street is closed for safety due to vandalism and theft of bridge expansion cover plates. Staff have ordered replacements and will install as soon as they arrive. Once we have an expected reopening date, it will be updated on this post. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Flood closures

After hanging around 20 FT, the Mississippi River is expected to recede quickly beginning Saturday, 7/13 lowering to 19.2 FT by Sunday, 7/14 and 17.5 FT by Wednesday, 7/17.
Based on forecast, access will reopen towards the end of July, dependent on how quickly water recedes and cleaning can commence:
⛔️ Credit Island Nature Preserve and Park will remain closed until the river recedes to a point where the areas can be cleaned and reopened for use.

Credit Island Park is a 450 acre park and historic location located at 2301 West River Drive.

Credit Island Lodge
Fees:
Friday-Sunday & Holidays $650 for all day ($300 Deposit)
Monday-Thursday $200 for 4 hour minimum reservation ($300 Deposit)
$50 for each additional hour
Capacity: 200 (seating capacity approximately 115)

Amenities: Restrooms, serving kitchen (no stove), refrigerator, tables (8 60-inch round tables and 17 8-foot rectangular tables), seating for 115, heated, and air conditioned.

Reservations can be made 365 days in advance but should be made at least 30 days in advance of your special event. Reservations can be made in person at The River's Edge, 700 W River Dr. NEW in 2024! You can now submit a reservation request online that will temporarily hold a pending date and time for your event.
