Davenport Parks and Recreation Fall/Winter Recreation Catalog Is Here!

The City of Davenport’s Parks and Recreation department announces the release of the Fall/Winter 2022 Recreation Guide available in digital format and print copies available at recreation centers and partner agencies throughout Davenport. In addition to a brighter and glossier look to this season’s guide, there is an expanded and more colorful special events section which includes an 18 and over scary movie night at Credit Island in October, new nature and garden classes, and information on joining the Davenport Parks and Recreation team as an employee, volunteer, or as an AmeriCorps member. Returning community favorite events include family dances, Holiday Lights at Fejervary Learning Center, and Vander Veer Botanical Park’s Poinsettia and Lights Display.

Davenport Urban Deer Hunt

The City of Davenport’s 2022 – 2023 Urban Deer Hunt season will open September 17, 2022 and close January 10, 2023.

Due to safety concerns for hunters, residents, and staff it has been determined the Urban Deer Hunt program will be modified for this season and moving forward.

  • Hunting on public lands, which includes all City parks, will no longer be authorized through the program. Hunting on private land will still be authorized within City limits.
  • There will no longer be an in-person deer harvest check-in option at The River’s Edge. All deer harvest check-ins will be reported virtually to the City of Davenport within 24 hours via email to [email protected].
